YOUR LETTERS: Daly: Labor-endorsed for City Collector of Revenue

I am running for re-election as Collector of Revenue for the City of St. Louis. Serving in this capacity for the last several years has been an honor of a lifetime and I am asking for your (support) as I seek to continue to serve the citizens of St. Louis as their Collector.

Since becoming the Collector of Revenue, I have focused on ensuring our residents’ hard-earned tax dollars have been collected, managed and allocated with the integrity, efficiency and transparency they deserve to support city operations and public safety.

I have been part of the St. Louis community since birth, and I cherish our city’s diversity and rich history. My team and I work every day to foster a sense of pride in our community, and we strive to showcase the incredible assets of each of our unique neighborhoods.

We are committed to delivering top customer service in a way that each taxpayer feels respected and valued. My team has adapted, evolved and innovated to expand our services to make it easier to do business with our office. We have focused on enhancing our technology to ensure our taxpayers’ information is easily accessible and secure.

Recently, we launched RETAF, coalition specifically focused on helping economically distressed and often-forgotten citizens build generational wealth by assisting them with their real estate tax liabilities to keep families in their homes.

This office manages more than $700 million taxpayer dollars each year with integrity and without controversy. We are the most audited office in the City of St. Louis, and we take great pride in the experience and excellence with which we operate day in and day out. I am privileged to work with what I believe is the most talented and competent staff in City Hall.

I look forward to continuing this effort for another four years and would appreciate your support for my re-election. While I do not have a Democratic opponent, there is a Republican candidate. The General Election is Nov. 1, 2022.
