YOUR LETTERS: How greedy is Big Pharma?

A new report finds that the 14 leading drug corporations spent $577 billion on stock buybacks and dividends between 2016 and 2020. That’s how greedy Big Pharma is.

This House Oversight Committee report destroys the phony narrative of Big Pharma’s “innovation” as a justification for its sky-high prices.

Let’s be clear: between 2016 and 2020, Big Pharma spent $56 billion MORE on buybacks and dividends than it spent on R&D!

During this decade, these same corporations are projected to spend $1.15 TRILLION on stock buybacks and dividends.

Even worse, many of these corporations are spending a significant portion of their R&D budget on finding ways to suppress the competition while raising prices, rather than on innovative research.

Enough! Join us in demanding that Congress stand up to Big Pharma’s outrageous greed and finally allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices.

Tell Congress: Enough excuses! It’s time to let Medicare negotiate prescription drug prices! Express your opinion: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/this-is-what-big-pharma-greed-looks-like.
