Republican extremists are so determined to take away “one person, one vote” in Missouri that they deadlocked the State Senate all last week.
The rest of the Missouri Republicans are getting overrun by this extremist faction – and they are deeply unserious about governing. We need to return moderation to our state. Can you help us elect more common-sense Democrats so we can build a coalition against extremism?
Right now, if a question on the ballot receives a majority of the votes, it becomes law. Seems straightforward, right? Well, in the face of Ohio, Kansas, and other red states passing constitutional amendments to restore abortion rights, Missouri Republicans want to make it harder to amend our constitution by ending majority rule and getting rid of “one person, one vote.”
The MAGA extremists in the State Senate have gained seats every election, and now they want to take your voice away.
This election may be one of our very last chances to save Missouri’s “one person, one vote” Initiative Petition process. That’s why we need to elect more democracy-minded Democrats to the State Senate.
