Application deadline set for June 15
Sons or daughters of active members of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 have the opportunity to apply for a $2,000 Labor scholarship through the Plumbing Industry Council.
The scholarship is for students attending high school and about to complete their senior year. To be eligible, the student must rank in the upper one-half of their graduating class. Selection is based on:
- Academic standing of the student during four years in high school.
- College entrance examination scores.
- Extracurricular activities and leadership;
- Character reference and other pertinent factors.
The awardee may attend any accredited college or university in the United States and may choose any course of study, but must be enrolled in a full-time schedule at the college or university.
Applications must be submitted by June 15 along with transcripts, a letter of recommendation from the high school principal, college entrance exam score and a one-page, handwritten explanation of the student’s collegiate/scholastic/professional goals and objectives.
