Greater Madison County Federation of Labor seeking nominations for Labor Leader of the Year

Granite City, IL – The Greater Madison County Federation of Labor is seeking nominations for Labor Leader of the Year.

The honorees will be announced at the Federation’s 31^st Annual Labor Awards Banquet, Thursday, March 28, at Julia’s Banquet Center, 101 Eastgate Plaza, East Alton, Ill. 62024.

CATEGORIES
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
• Labor Leader of the Year – Presented to a union member who has shown leadership qualities through the past year, not only for their personal union but also for the good of the Labor Movement.
• Outstanding Friend of Labor – Presented to an individual who has consistently been a friend of Labor.

HOW TO NOMINATE
Each union should submit a resume for their nominees to highlight their activities and services in the categories for which they are nominated. Local unions may submit nominees for each category. Nominees may be from the union’s local membership, international staff or from any other local union. The deadline for submitting nominations is Feb. 22.

TICKETS AND ADVERTISING
Tickets are $25 each and include meal and refreshments. The evening will begin with a social gathering at 6 p.m. and conclude by 10 p.m.

Advertising in the program book is available, ranging from $45 for a business card ad to $210 for a full-page or $410 for a double full-page.
