The 17th Annual Greater Madison County Federation of Labor Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3.
The event, which benefits the federation’s scholarship program, will be held at the Machinist Union Hall at 161 N. Shamrock St. in East Alton. Doors open at 4 p.m. and play begins at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be available for a small donation. No coolers or alcohol will be permitted.
The first-place prize for the tournament is $1,000 based on a minimum of 60 participants. Other prizes will be determined the night of the event. The entry fee is a $35 donation and sponsorships are also available. Paid registrations received by Jan. 29 will receive a $500 chip.
