IBEW Local 1 has reached a new three-year contract agreement with Holt Electrical Supplies that includes raises, bonuses and a new second-shift differential for union employees.
Local 1 Business Representative Dave Roth said Holt has been a Local 1 contractor since 1967.
“They’re a good contractor,” Roth said. “They negotiated well. We got a nice raise for our members, bonuses for each year of the contract, and a second-shift rate which we didn’t have before.”
Local 1 represents 12 employees at Holt, Roth said.
With the raise and bonus, members will receive a nearly 6 percent raise over the life of the contract.
The contract also includes a 401(k) and health and welfare benefits for union members that match those provided to Holt’s office employees.
Roth said Local 1 has long, positive relationship with Holt – a family-owned company run by President Sylvan Holtzman (second generation) and his son Vice President Ryan Holtzman.
Holt provides supplies for Local 1’s annual effort to provide electrical upgrades for low-income St. Louis homes through the Rebuilding Together-St. Louis campaign.
Holt has locations in St. Louis City, South County, O’Fallon, MO, and Washington, MO.
