IN MEMORIAM: IBEW Local 1439’s Kenneth Wendel

Ken Wendal, a member of IBEW Local 1439, died Jan. 31, 2023 at age 72. He worked for 39 years for Union Electric/Ameren.

Brother Wendel was the loving husband of Darlene Wendel (nee Hutchison); beloved father of Keith (Pam) Wendel, Dawn Kohles and Kevin (Lizzie) Wendel; cherished grandfather of Jacob (Kayla), Luke, Eli, Adia, Arlo and soon to be Hugh; and dear brother of Rita Johnson and the late David Wendel.

A funeral service was held Feb. 16 at Kutis Funeral Home’s South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, followed by interment at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.
