Charles Michael “Chuck” Sanders, Sr., 70, died June 15, 2021, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City.
Brother Sanders was a 27-year member of Laborers Local 110 and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, gun collecting, his dog companion, Blu, and “being a cowboy.” Born July 20, 1950 in Bonne Terre, he was the son of Betty (Tom) Buscher Black of Crystal City and the late Ray Sanders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jill Ann (Boyer) Sanders.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by a brother: Mark W. Sanders of Festus; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son: Charles Michael “Mike” Sanders, Jr.; a brother, Anthony “Tony” Sanders; and a stepbrother, John Black.
A funeral service was held June 21 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus followed by interment at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.
