Missouri Women in Trades (MOWIT) will host its Third Annual Blue Collar-Black Tie Tradeswomen Awards Gala on Friday, Sept. 17 to recognize and honor St. Louis-area tradeswomen as well as unions and contractors who have gone the extra mile to support women in the building trades.
This year’s gala will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 36 Grand Hall, 2319 Chouteau Ave. in St. Louis. The evening includes dinner, a cash bar and an awards ceremony.
MOWIT is dedicated to expanding opportunities for women to enter and succeed in apprenticeships and careers in the union construction and building trades in the greater St. Louis area. The Tradeswomen Awards Gala is the largest annual fundraiser for the non-profit organization.
