IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Harley Rogers

Harley L. Rogers, a 46-year member of Laborers Local 110, passed away Sept. 18, 2023 at age 88.

Brother Rogers, of Robertsville, was born Sept. 13, 1935 in Emmerson, Iowa, to Clifford and Florence (nee Templeton) Rogers. He was a family man; his entire world revolved around his children and grandchildren. His faith was a very important part of his life, he was an Elder at The Bridge Church in Pacific. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Harley worked and eventually retired from Fred Weber Construction after 42 years. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Joan (Richard) Russell, George (Surv. Janet) Rogers and Teddy Rogers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Milam) Rogers; his sister-in-law, Janet Rogers; four children, Michael (Sandy) Rogers, Sandra Rogers, Larry (Daina) Rogers and Sherry (Jesse) Stevens; nine grandchildren, Amy Rogers, Stephen (Taylor) Rogers, Andrea Rogers, Lauren (William) Callow, Ellen (Matt O’Connell) Rogers, Caroline Rogers, Anna Rogers, Solomon Stevens and Josiah Stevens; two great grandchildren, Landon Callow and Warner Callow; two siblings, Jerry (Mattie) Rogers and Jim (the late Peggy) Rogers; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A service was held on Sept. 29, 2023 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Memorial donations may be made to Camp Wilderness Building Fund at campwilderness4u.org.
