IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Leo Narup

Leo G. Narup, a 49-year member of Laborers Local 110, passed away Aug. 20, 2023 at age 85.

Brother Narup, son of the late George Narup and wife Elizabeth (nee Nebur) was born July 3, 1938. He received his education from Washington Grade School. On June 10, 1961 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Nichols in Chamois.

He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Hummingbird Club (Washington), Laborers Local 110 and St. Ann Church (Clover Bottom).

Among his survivors are his children, Sheila Westhoelter and husband Craig, Michael Narup, Steve Narup and wife Janet, Christopher Narup and Carissa Wilkinson, and Jeffrey Narup, all of Washington; four grandchildren, Alyssa Stallmann and husband Kenneth, Amber Czeschin and husband Jacob, Colleen Narup and Bonnie Narup; two great-grandchildren, Elaina J. Stallmann and Maivry Jean Stallmann; sister-in-law, Carol Narup; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Narup; and four siblings, Mable Ciepiot, Adolph Narup, Earl Narup and Raymond Narup.

A memorial Mass was held Aug. 28 at St. Ann Church-Clover Bottom, followed by interment  with full military honors at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Ann Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
