IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Robert Roth

Robert Roth, a 45-year member of Laborers Local 110, passed away on April 20, 2024 in St. Louis at age 87. He was born on Aug. 12, 1936 in Ste. Genevieve to Mastin and Marie Roth.

Brother Roth grew up farming in Weingarten, Mo. and began working at an early age. He worked at Trimfoot where he met his wife Doris. He then blasted rock at multiple rock quarries in the surrounding areas.

In his free time Bob enjoyed fishing, working in the garden, camping, working on cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted member of the Catholic church and could often be found having coffee at McDonald’s or Hardee’s in Potosi. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Roth (Forsythe); daughters Cindy (Joe) Pfister and Karen (Mark) Burke; grandchildren, Lauren (Clay) Southern, Alyssa Pfister, Kyle Burke, Morgan Burke; great-grandchild, Layla Southern; siblings, William “Bill” Roth and Sylvia Howell, Mary Ann Estaque and husband Steve Goldfarb; and many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
