Glyn Ramage, business manager for the Southwestern Illinois Laborers’ District Council, said Sheppard was a strong leader and will be greatly missed.

“Pat Sheppard was a good, decent, hard-working man,” Ramage said. “He loved his family, his local union and his friends. He made the Labor Movement better for working men and women, and I am a better person for having Pat Sheppard in my life. It was a great loss and his presence will be missed.”
