Leo Richard Bachinski II, of Defiance, Mo., passed away Nov. 15, 2023 at the age of 78.
Brother Bachinski was the cherished son of the late Delia and Leo Richard Bachinski, Sr.; devoted father of Leo Bachinski, John Bachinski, Amy (Dennis) Robinson, Pam (Craig) de Garcia, and Molly Bachinski; loving grandfather of six; and dear brother of Jean Sand and Joan Schlueter. He was preceded in death by brother, Bill Peterson, and sister, Peggy Kiel.
He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 513, following his father, the first vice-president of the International, into the Operating Engineers. He was followed by his two sons and several other family members into the organization. Leo was also vice-president of Golden Gloves in St. Louis. He had an extreme zest for life, and he loved his family and friends. Leo was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service was held Nov. 27 at Baue Funeral Home in Cave Springs. Memorials may be made in Leo’s name to Larry Rice Ministries.
