Jefferson County Labor Club Comedy Night set for Oct. 7

Imperial, MO – After a three-year hiatus because of COVID-19, the Jefferson County Labor Club is bringing back its popular Comedy Night on Oct. 7.

James Johann will be the featured comedian. Besides headlining comedy clubs nationwide, Johann just completed the theatre tour “Paying for the New Trailer” (Blue Collar Comedy Tour) starring Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy.

The event will be held at American Legion Post 283 located at 910 Montebello Road in Imperial and will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the comedy show starts at 8 p.m. The evening will include attendance prizes and music before and after the comedy show. Dress is casual.

The comedy night benefits the club’s charitable arm, the Main Event Committee. Since 2007, the committee has raised more than $43,350, which has helped fund the Arnold Food Pantry, BackStoppers, Boy Scouts of America, Jefferson County Rescue Mission, Kade’s Playground, MS Society, Peace Pantry, Ride On St. Louis and St. John’s Food Pantry.

Suggested ticket donations are $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight. To purchase tickets or make a donation, make checks payable to the “Main Event” and mail them to Wayne Stanley, 181 Benedict, Pevely, Mo. 63070.
