Laborers Local 110 hosts 17th annual backpack drive for members’ children

SUNSET HILLS, MO – Laborers Local 110 helped more than 120 of its members’ families lessen the burden of back-to-school expenses with its 17th Annual Backpack Drive Aug. 6. Instead of backpacks this year, the union gave out bags filled with age-appropriate school supplies and lunchboxes for the event, which was held at the Local 110 union hall at 4532 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The event also featured free haircuts and drawings for gift cards and for baskets filled with school supplies for teachers.
