Missouri AFL-CIO endorses Jill Schupp in 2nd Congressional District race

St. Louis County – The Missouri AFL-CIO has thrown its support behind its State Senator Jill Schupp, who is running for Congress in Missouri’s 2nd district. This endorsement is the latest in a string of national and local endorsements for Democrat Schupp’s Congressional campaign, challenging Republican incumbent Ann Wagner.

“We are proud to support Jill Schupp, because she has long been a champion for workers in Missouri,” said Mike Louis, Missouri AFL-CIO President.

“She has fought for working families as a state legislator, prioritizing the needs of the people she represents over big corporations and their lobbyists. Now more than ever, we need someone like Jill Schupp fighting for Missouri families in Congress.”

“I’m honored to have the support of the Missouri AFL-CIO in my campaign for Congress. It is time that working families in the 2nd district finally have someone who’s on their side,” said Schupp.

“Throughout my time in public service, I’ve fought for policies that help all Missourians, such as raising the minimum wage, ensuring everyone has access to affordable health care, and a retirement they can count on. These are the values of the AFL-CIO, and I’m proud to stand with them as we work to strengthen the middle-class.”
