The St. Louis Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is sponsoring three virtual events to kick off Women in Construction (WIC) Week, March 7-13.

WIC Week, which is celebrated the first full week of March each year, raises awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction business and the growing role of women in the industry.

This year’s NAWIC events will be held online due to the coronavirus pandemic. They include:

Tuesday, March 9 a one-hour virtual Lunch and Learn on Insurance and Safety at noon.

Wednesday, March 10 a 45-minute online yoga and meditation session at 6 p.m.

Friday, March 12a one-hour virtual Lunch and Learn on Habits and the Foundation of Productivity at noon.

Founded in 1953, NAWIC is a not-for-profit organization designed to provide support, networking, education and business opportunities for women in the construction industry. The St. Louis Chapter of NAWIC began in 1960.

Zoom links for all three events are available at nawicstl.org.
