Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562, retirees donate more than $5K to Foundations for Divergent Minds

St. Louis – Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 and its retiree’s club have donated an extra $5,250 to Foundations for Divergent Minds, an all autistic-run, non-profit organization rooted in the principles of disability justice, as part of the 3rd Annual Local 562/IBEW Local 1 “Braggin’ Rights” hockey game held March 23 at The Mills Ice Zone in Hazelwood. The game itself raised $3,373 for the organization. Local 562 coaches/managers Bob Ellison (right) and Joe Sansone (second to right) made the contribution to the organization’s Summer Poe (middle) during an IBEW Local 1 union meeting.
