Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 volunteers make sure Heat’s On and bellies are full

Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 hosted its annual Heat’s On event Sept. 30 with more than 200 volunteers gathering at Local 562’s St. Louis and Fulton training centers before fanning out to visit nearly 100 homes to make sure they were ready for winter. The annual event has helped thousands since its inception in 1986.

Local 562 and the Warren County Labor Club also used the occasion to collect food donations for Wright City School District’s Operation Backpack program, which feeds about 90 students a day.
