Stagehands Local 6 pickets LA Dance Magic show at Chase Park Plaza

St. Louis – Stagehands Local 6 picketed the LA Dance Magic show last week for hiring an out-of-town, non-union company that pays substandard wages for audio and visual services. The three-day event was held at Chase Park Plaza at 212 Kingshighway Blvd. Local 6 Business Manager Michael Beckman said the company hired two Local 6 members to set up the stage, but was unwilling to negotiate hiring any more union members. Taking the message to the public from Local 6 included (left to right) Travis Bowers, Amedeo Gravagna, Tony Steinbrook (partially obscured) and Joshua Jackson. USW (Decorators & Displaymen) Local 39 Business Agent Frank Condellire (with umbrella) also joined the picket line.
