UFCW 88’s Brianna Smith wins 2022 Nicholas M. Blassie scholarship

CONGRATULATIONS to UFCW Local 88’s Brianna Smith (second from left), who works in the Zumbehl Schnucks Meat Department, on winning the union’s $1,000 Nicholas M. Blassie scholarship. Local 88 President Dan Telle (left) stopped by the store to present Smith with the award along with Local 88 Representative Stephanie Brinkley (third from left) and Local 88 Secretary-Treasurer Kyle Norris (right). Blassie had served as president of Local 88 for 25 years beginning in 1938 – a post he took on at age 28.
