Union members, families turn out for annual Tri-City Labor Day parade and picnic

Granite City, IL – The Greater Madison County Federation of Labor’s annual Tri-City Labor Day Parade stepped off Sept. 3 at Niedringhaus Ave. and 18^th Street, culminating with the annual picnic for union members and their families at Wilson Park.

The picnic included speeches, food, refreshments and children’s activities, plus the awarding of trophies for parade entries, including Best Float, Best Community Group, Best Marching Band, and Best Marching Union.
