Labor play Waiting for Lefty will be performed at Missouri State University

Springfield, MO – The Department of Theatre and Dance at Missouri State University in Springfield is staging the Labor classic Waiting for Lefty March 2, 3, 7 and 8 at the Craig Hall Room Balcony Theatre located at 1147 Grand St., Springfield, Mo. 65897.

Waiting for Lefty is a 1935 play by the American playwright Clifford Odets. It consists of a series of related vignettes framed by a meeting of cab drivers who are planning a strike, and uses the audience as part of the meeting.

The two-hour play starts at 7:30 p.m. each night.
