Missouri Senator Doug Beck (D-Affton) (at right), a member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562, spoke at the St. Louis Labor Council’s May 17 delegate meeting, urging union members and their families to support veteran Missouri Rep. Tracy McCreery (D-Olivette) (left) in the upcoming primary election for Missouri’s 24th Senate District, where incumbent Senator Jill Shupp (D-Creve Coeur) is leaving due to term limits.

Beck highlighted McCreery’s unwavering support for working families in her nine years in the Missouri House, urging union members to volunteer for her campaign. “She needs your boots and tennis shoes on the ground to make this happen,” Beck said.

Accepting the endorsement of the Labor Council, McCreery said, “I’ve been an advocate for access to affordable healthcare, ending taxpayer giveaways to wealthy special interests, guaranteeing great schools that prepare our kids for great jobs, and creating an economy that works for all of us. As State Senator, I will invest in our schools, protect middle-class families, and improve our economy.” To volunteer or donate to her campaign, go to TracyMcCreery.com. – Labor Tribune photos
